I've got one too, on OS X 10.5.8 (PPC)

Pardon my ignorance, but what is an iDisk ?

Wasn't that some remote disk on some Apple service that changed names a
few times (is it called "Me" these days ?)

In thinker tools 4.1, I didn't see any option to remove that menu option.

yes, although it was called idisk all along, even when the service was
dot mac.

are you running 10.5 or 10.6? i didn't see the option either at first,
but a little digging revealed that it's only available in 10.6.

It is a storage area that is part of a MobileMe account (previously
known as ".Mac").

See http://www.apple.com/mobileme for details.

From later in the thread it turns out the ability to disable that menu
item was a new feature in 10.6's Finder, so TinkerTool doesn't offer it
in Leopard or earlier.

Running 10.6.4 for OS, and 4.1 for Tinker Tools.

OK, I did find the idisk reference. It is in the Finder "tab", under
"Restricted Finder".
