Why ever not?!

Possibly because it might significantly increase your likelyhood of being
mugged.

I didn't mean the iPhone app (looking at the App Store it looks like
that has been fixed for iPad, but it's still an iPhone app). I was
talking about the Guardian Online website. They had a special offer
recently to subscribe to this and The Observer for 99 for a year. My
plan was to read this on the iPad. It works fine for the headline
pages, but if you try to read any article then you have to
authenticate. At that point it fails, saying your username or password
are wrong. The same credentials work fine on the Mac. I hope they sort
it soon.

Regards,

Ian.

Word.

I wouldn't be taking in what I was reading, aware of everybody around me
and possible grab-and-runners. And, until they become more common, a bit
of the old flash-git-with-mobile-phone thing in the nineties factor,
you know, the 'I'm on the train!' thing.

What's totally bonkers? Supporting the iPad or not supporting the iPad?
If the latter it seems a bit much to expect the Guardian to have a team
of developers on standby just in case Steve announces something at a
keynote.
