I don't even find that, to be honest. It may well be an issue for people
with certain routers using certain channels or whatever, but it's been a
non-issue for me.

The only real problem I have with the iPad is picking it up the wrong
way round and pressing the end where the home button isn't. Oh, and
the endless conversations I have with people where I attempt to justify
how awesome it is only for them to come back to me a few days later
and say, `Oh, yeah, you're right, I played with one the other day and
I completely changed my mind -- they're so cool.'

I do, but it is minor.

When I come in from using my iPad at work on the mifi, and come come to
the home network, the iPad will initially recognise it and work. Then
when It goes to sleep and I wake it up again, it says it is connected
but if I go anywhere it will tell me the network isn't there. I go to
prefs, turn networking off and then on again and everything is fine,

It doesn't happen every time, but more than enough to make it a
coincidence and never the other way round (ie, always works at work)

It will also occasionally drop the connection, but not often

Well, quite. There were fairly widespread reports of wifi issues,
but they haven't affected me at all. Works faultlessly.

Tough to say. The problems seem to be *very* widespread, though, and
Steve Jobs' comments along the lines of `All mobiles suffer from issues
like this' and `Then don't hold it that way, duh' don't exactly fill one
with confidence.

I don't have sweaty hands, for what it's worth. :)

I find my indicator does that as well. For instance using it in the
bedroom, we are in a small bungalow and to be honest the iPad isn't far away
from the router on these occasions but it can drop to just one bar on the
display but you can use the laptop in the shed at the bottom of the garden.
I take my laptop when I take my grandson to a playbarn and I can pick up the
wi-fi signal from the business next door, but neither my iPhone or iPad can
pick it up. The iPhone used to but not anymore. I was hoping that the iPad
would to save me carting my laptop about.

It's supposed to have a problem with handling DHCP leases if the lease
expires while the iPad isn't awake. It hangs onto the old IP address and
doesn't request a new one, leading to Much Hilarity.

Not sure that's what you're seeing, but even so.
