Well, I finally went out and got Pogue's book on MacOS Snow Leopard so
that might give me a pointer or two?

Thanks for the help so far. I'll await further developments.

When I said that I can't help this week, I didn't mean that you
have to wait for me. The book will help--at the very least,
give you lots of ideas. And many people on this group can
help as well as or better than I can.

For what it's worth, NFS seemed like a much less convenient solution
than Mac OS X's built-in file sharing. I've shared iTunes libraries
that way, and it's a lot easier to set up than NFS.

Well, it sounds like it is worth quite a bit.

I need to delve into Pogue's book and figure out this file sharing and
then why and how for my problem, it appears.

Thanx.
