Guy next door to my parents was friends with someone from the
publishers, A&F - I was very young at the time, but I seem to recall he
was the guy who wrote the Dragon conversion.

Anyway - he personally brought me a complimentary copy :)

It was a league in a magazine (seem to remember it was Zzapp, -might-
have been C&VG). I was top for a few weeks, then I remember seeing some
of the scores coming out later - you would have needed to play for
literally days to get those scores, and there wasn't a pause. Hmm. (not
that every score which beat me was dubious, but some were....well, -I-
questioned them anyway).
