What does this line of sensor program mean

temp1: +50.0�C (high = +8.0�C, hyst = +11.0�C) ALARM sensor =
thermistor

In parenthesis it means that the value is already too high for 8 degrees
or it is up to 8 degrees to be considered high ? Or it is temporary
tempretures caught up by the sensors ( I mean the high and the highest ) ?
