I have a directory of landscape images that I want to convert to
portrait images by rotating left 90 degrees so I can display them
on an electronic picture frame.

I downloaded a program that claims to do it, but only the crop
function has the ability to crop all. I still have to select rotate
for each file.
Also found a bunch of free downloads of payware. Grrrr!!!.

Want something simple. Don't need any bells and whistles, just batch
rotate.
Thanks, mike

also instruct it to process all files in a folder, and even to also
process files in subfolders of that folder."

Thanks, I use irfanview every day. Even with your direction, it took
me a while to find the checkbox to do what I want in a batch. Works great.
