You shouldn't make an iso image out of something which IS already an
iso image, just burn the iso file directly (either with cdrecord or,
if you need a gui program, k3b or such). If the latter, choose the
the "burn DVD image" directly from the tools menu, do not CREATE
a new project.

You are correct about burning iso images directly to media without putting
them on some file system. However, to mee it seems as if he really has the
right syntax for doing so growisofs.

Even if JakuB would be making the mistake of putting the iso file within a
new iso file system he should still be able to mount that DVD but instead
of Slackware install directories only see one single big file. However now
that is not the case as he was able to install Slackware 13 from the
burned disc.

I can't say for sure what is going wrong, my guess is that there is some
hardware error with the DVD reader. I have never heard of anyone having to
use cdfs like this before. Then on the other hand I haven't used Slackware
13 much myself.

Thank you all for the enlightenment :-)
I burned DVD again with cdrecord. Now it works as it was expected.

For me surprising is that the wrong DVD was bootable and allowed to install
the system but never mind.
