But if they bother you, you can turn them off. Look for a "backwards P" icon in one of your toolbars/ribbons. Click it and it should hide those markers. In future, please submit questions like this to microsoft.public.word.newusers.

The para marks and space marks will NOT print, so that's no problem. 2. Click the para symbol in the upper menu and it'll hide them.
