I am having the same problem. I have an image with plotted dots over it. I am using:

figure, imshow('data0002.tif'), hold on,
figure,plot(Z{2}(1,:),Z{2}(2,:),'rx',hat_X{2}(1,:),hat_X{2}(3,:),'co')

I just don't know how to save it so that I keep the dots and get rid of the white borders that matlab figure produce. Can you let me know how you fixed it?
