My apologies; I just realized that error message. I'm running R2009a on a OSX 10.6 machine. I've found this recent thread (http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/newsreader/view_thread/235875) from someone with a similar problem which appears unresolved. I've tried the suggested solutions with no success.
