If you use kde4 you can always use display manager in system settings. or you can download sax2 from here:- http://rpm.pbone.net/ you will need sax2-libsax sax2-libsax-perl sax2 sax2-gui sax2-ident sax2-tools

But that same player can be called in again at any other time! It's just an option that if you can not find a replacement you can install it again. IE call on the services of the player you took off.

Fixing 'sax2' for future use is not an appropriate approach because Sax2 has clearly been dropped from distribution as there are no resources/volunteers in community to maintain the software.
