Howdy, all!

I just upgraded from tiger to snow leopard about a month ago. One
thing I'm finding very annoying is the new dock behavior vis-a-vis
docked folders. I can't really see any real use for stacks or fans,
honestly (although I'm one of those folks who keeps his dock on the
left, not the bottom, and that might have something to do with it) and I
really HATE the fact that I can't just put a folder in my dock, and have
it open in the finder when I click on it. I don't want a list, a fan or
a grid, I just want the folder to pop open like it used to.

So, I'm wondering, is there a way to make this happen? A hidden setting,
a third party add on, a dock replacement, anything?

TIA!

Joshua

Right press on the on the folder and then while still pressing point to
the bottom item on the pop-up menu and release. This will open the
folder without there being a stack or grid.

All items on the dock to the right of the separator (programs to
the left, everything else to the right) allow you to change the
behavior. Right click or ctrl-click on the item and select either
fan, grid, list or automatic.

He doesn't want fan, grid, or list. He wants to click on a folder
that he's placed in the Dock, and have that folder open up in the
Finder, and he wants that to happen as default behavior.

Click and hold and select Open In Finder.
