I do it with CURRENT/FULL_HEADERS. :-)

Yes, there is a header specifying the origin, but it can be faked.

I read from a normal NNTP server, nothing to do with Google, and see the
spam. (I can easily make it invisible to me with my newsreader, but I
do check and do see it. Since my news server honours cancels, I cancel
the spam, which gets rid of it here and perhaps on some other servers.)

Most are, but comp.os.vms is higher, and I haven't seen any of this spam
there.

It is currently set to delete messages with "buy" in the title, but
nothing happens (in the newsreader; it works fine for email).
