Hi all,

dell pe T710, one Xeon E5520 cpu, 4GB ram

Seen lots of posts where people are recommending 8gb as absolute minimum
for 2008.

Anyone tested SBS2k8 on machine of similar spec to above running
exchange 40+ users with 500mb mailbox limits (currently)?

Many thanks

BWAHAHAHHAHA (sorry)

40+ users you want 16GB RAM, some might suggest 12 is enough (I don't
believe a word of it).

OH, BTW, that's MINIMUM. Something in the range 24-32 would be good.

We've got SBS2K8 with 12GB and 15 users, and memory usage is currently
showing 9.33GB.

SQL Server is using 2GB (that's not "additional install" SQL, that's
just the sqlserv.exe processes used by CompanyWeb and WSuS etc),
Store.exe is using 700MB and the three w3wp.exe proceses add up to
about 1GB.

We JUST have SBS2k8 and no more. No AV, no antispam (third party
hardware) and no other interactive sessions beyond mine.

I think you'll find that your server limps along on 4GB

Nope, because this won't work. Believe us.

Take this as an advice:
