A super hero of some sort? *grin* The last update you say you need (981717) seems to be for one of these OSes: a.. Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 a.. Windows Server 2008 Datacenter a.. Windows Server 2008 Enterprise a.. Windows Server 2008 Standard Which do you have? Why do you have Microsoft Office installed on this server OS? (The update 980729 is for Microsoft Office OneNote 2007; The update 978380 is for the Microsoft Office 2007 system and Compatibility pack; The update 978382 is for Excel 2007.) So - you should likely give a little more information. What operating system do you have? What service pack is that operating system at? What architecture is that operating system (32 or 64-bit)? What version of Internet Explorer do you have installed? What antivirus software do you currently use and have ever used on this system? Any third-party firewall software installed? What Office 2007 components do you have installed (what edition, etc?) -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
From: Ǝиçεl on 16 Apr 2010 23:26 Please always state which Windows edition and Service Pack level ? and what version of Internet Explorer? as it often does make a difference - Also, could you supply some information on what your firewall is, what is the installed antivirus/security suite, other R-TP programs, e.g. Spybot Search & Destroy (reduced functionality called "TeaTimer") Avira (From version 9) (Included in antivirus package), Ad-Aware, etc?
