From: JoAnn Paules [MVP] on 29 Apr 2010 08:09 I know the symbol you are talking about but only because I've used in in previous jobs. Unfortuantely that symbols isn't universally used. Some people use ft with a superscript 2. My advice would be to use the abbreviation "sq ft" to avoid any confusion. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "Michael Ralph Krause" <fishinghole(a)comcast.net> wrote in message news:... > Message-ID: <e464f12e048643a68fed6180d6be44c2(a)newspe.com> > X-Mailer: http://www.umailcampaign.com, ip log:71.237.77.18 > Newsgroups: microsoft.public.office.misc > NNTP-Posting-Host: 22.bb.5446.static.theplanet.com 70.84.187.34 > Path: TK2MSFTNGP01.phx.gbl!TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl!newspe.com > Lines: 1 > Xref: TK2MSFTNGP01.phx.gbl microsoft.public.office.misc:378747 > > the symbol for square footage is a square with a forward slash through it > insert a square symbol then a forward slash and merge them i was going to > paste one here for everybody but it wont let me sorry > > url:http://www.ureader.com/msg/11094357.aspx
