From: Barbara2010 on 13 May 2010 21:32 I think this is what you are wanting. Really wonderful information. Try it yourself : To unprotect a Word document that has been locked, read on: 1) With the document open press F11 while holding down shift and alt (Alt-Shift-F11). This should launch the script editor in Word; 2) Next select the find option (or hit ctl-f), and run a find for the word "password." This should highlight something liket his"32943208"; 3) Delete the letters and numbers between the tags (in the above example this would be the 32943208); 4) Save the document in the script editor and close the window. You should now be back in your Word document; 5) From the "Tools" pulldown menu, select "unprotect." Your document should now be unprotected. it that doesn't word, try a 3rd party utilities which is claim to unlock password-protected word document like Word Password Recovery 5.0 hope to help you! good luck! -- Barbara2010 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Barbara2010's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/220009.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/ms-office-support/894654.htm http://forums.techarena.in

From: hannah2010 on 20 May 2010 02:34 Some authors (for example, of forms to be filled out) "lock" their documents under Windows. This is incredibly annoying, as it prevents you from fixing errors or adding anything (e.g., addenda) to the document. If you web-search on "unlock word password" you get a bunch of pages with word password recovery utilities,i have tried most of me,if you need suggestion of them.then let me know.good luck! -- hannah2010 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ hannah2010's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/222330.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/ms-office-support/894654.htm http://forums.techarena.in
