Also at at time hopelessly inaccurate billing, poor coverage, rubbish 1st and 2nd generation 3g phones, etc, etc. All added up to a very painful experience for all 3 users including me. IMHO 3 should now think of changing their name so as to be able to distance themselves from the past. I have tried 3 different SIMs in 3 different 3G phones but no joy. I assume that it must be something to do with the 3 software on handsets that allows this (the handsets I've tried are 2 unbranded and 1 vodafone branded). Am I correct in assuming it's the software or am I doing something stupid? I liked the look of their SIM only contracts and the SIM Zero but without the handover it would be rather annoying!

Still a problem, I lose quite a few calls do to them being dropped. I still carry an Orange PAYG mobile with me for areas where the network is poor. And what about the Skypephone S2? Riddled with problems, not to mention the random switching off of the phone and they wont accept it as being a issue. Its a BIG issue when your mobile phone switches off randomly and you dont realise its gone off (AGAIN).

Orange provide the 2G signal for virtually all 3 customers, so in a 2G only area your 3 phone will work exactly as the Orange one will. My 3 SIM will register on Orange 2G just not hand over a call from 3G to 2G. On a separate thought, what's the status of T-Mobile and 3's sharing deal - is that active in places now? Certainly isn't here as inserting the two SIMs shows good T-Mobile 3G signal and poor 3 3G signal. I notice that sometime over the last few weeks my nearest 3 mast has been pulled down - mast bit and big green box on pavement etc. Wonder why?!

I've had a S2 since last July and NEVER had it switch off on me randomly. It's on 24/7 and I also work in a building where in many places there is a poor or no signal (from any network). Steve |
