From: gtr on 6 May 2010 13:19 I have Snow Leopard running on an iMac6,1 - Intel Core 2 Duo purchased in 2007 (if memory serves). Will my machine even run in 64 bit mode? I was under the impression that it demanded the newer physical architecture introduced with 2010 Macs. I reently got the newest version of Logic 9, which is now 64-bit capable. But I was led to believe I needed to operate it in 32-bit mode, which I'm doing. I just unflagged the 32-bit, ran the program briefly, it seemed to work. Anyway the newest version of iGlasses flips the operating mode of a number of programs to 32-bit mode; logically these programs are ones that are *capable* of operating in 64-bit mode. Does that even effect me? This probably sounds confused. It's true, I don't know what the 32/64 bit thing means to me. -- If you limit your actions in life to things that nobody can possibly find fault with, you will not do much. -- Lewis Carroll
