Trying to access a 2008 TS via TS WEB ACCESS, and get the error "ActiceX
control not installed or not enabled. The WS is a XP with SP3 installed.
Under the IE7 add-ons I don't see the new RDC add-on. and I can't see how
to install it, all KB articles say to install SP3, which was already done.

rdp 6 includes the ActiveX control. Are you sure that you have
installed the rdp 6.1 client?

I assume so, since I have SP3 installed. Thier's no version listed that I
can see on the RDClient.

Start the rdp client, click on the small icon at the left hand side
of the title bar, choose the "About" menu to see the version.
Or right-click mstsc.exe - properties - version

I have the same problem. A clean install from an integrated XP SP3 media
downloaded from the MS licensing site.

Remote Desktop Connection
Shell Version 6.0.6001
Control Version 6.0.6001

I am unable to install any of the updated RDP packages or re-install SP3 as
it keeps telling me the newer version is already is installed.

The activex control is still being reported as not installed or disabled. I
wish it would show up in the list when i go to "Manage Addons" but they don't
appear and that is even after removing the two registry keys suggested in the
Terminal Services Team Blog

And when you ring MS to ask them? They won't budge until you get your
credit card out. I can't wait for the day where we could free ourselves from
this rubbish and use software from a customer friendly organisation.
