From: Jan De Messemaeker on 4 Apr 2010 02:17 Hi, Are you pulling my leg? After running Format_Duration and setting it to hours it is also changed in the Task Update window as you request. Didn't you even check? From: jp on 5 Apr 2010 00:20 Hi Julie, Yes, I have a resource working on this task. "Is the % complete changing as you update Actual Duration?" Yes, "Remaining duration calculating as well?" Yes. Thanks Julie. -JP "JulieS" wrote: > Do you have work resources assigned to the tasks? Is the % > complete changing as you update Actual Duration? From: jp on 5 Apr 2010 16:00 Ok, I'm beginning to worry that there is no easy way to update a project task by hours in a week!!! This is so strange... I have one resource working on a task and I need to update the hours she put into that task weekly. How difficult can that be you ask:.... -jp "jp" wrote: > > Hi and good morning Julie, > > I checked my project program and it is already checked. > > -jp > > > "JulieS" wrote: > > > Hello JP, > > > > Pardon me for bumping in. From: JulieS on 5 Apr 2010 20:04 Hi JP, Okay -- to recap: You have a project with resources assigned to tasks. Your calculation is set to "Automatic" The option "Updating task status updates resources status" is checked (enabled). However, when you update actual duration, Actual Work is not being changed? Please display the tracking table. That is the same Actual work field, yes? Instead of guessing -- can you email me the file? Please email me the project file. Send to: prjng [AT] maine dot rr dot com I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
