DOH!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. If you are running as user (as you should
be) you need to add yourself to plugdev in /etc/group:

plugdev:x:83:root,notbob

Give that a shot and get back to us. ;)

Yep. K3b popped up a window that prompted what to do with the newly
mounted media. One of the choices was to jes mount and view it. That
was 12.1 and 12.2. Apparently, in 13, KDE 4.2 has its own method and K3b is
no longer utilized.
