Admittedly, Alt.Binz has scheduled downloading, but I've never had any
need for that feature (which, of course, isn't to say that other people
might find that feature of use.) Also, Alt.Binz is no longer freeware
and so effectively, it's no longer under development AFAIC:

As for configurability, Grabit is also very configurable and has never
let me down. It's interface is easy to use and well laid out. It's also
very actively under development and remains freeware.

By contrast, probably the absolute *worst* binary newsreader is (or was)
BNR either version 1 or 2, which thankfully is no longer under
development. That program was probably the single most poorly coded
software I've ever encountered and probably will remain in my memory as
such for a long time.

No ad, CD, commercial, cripple, demo, nag, share, spy, time-limited,
trial or web wares OR warez for me, please. Adobe Flash sucks, DivX rules.

Eh... make that "(which, of course, isn't to say that other people might
not find that feature of use.)"

I only use text, but I always come back to 40tude Dialog. It works best for
me.

Good Choice.... been using it since it came out.... way too many years ago that I'd care to admit.
