From: Norm on 19 May 2010 16:06 I try to connect to my wife's Mac over our LAN. After connecting I can "see" her public folder. But when I try to disconnect it always says connecting. So the only way to disconnect seems to be to turn File Sharing off on her Mac. Is this "normal?" When I try to disconnect, Finder window it shows Kind as Sharepoints with my computer's name. Any basic ed on this appreciated. Thanks. -- Norm

I'm not sure if I understand. When I connect to another mac, the computer shows up in the devices pane of any finder window under "SHARED." There are also computers there which I'm not connected to, but which my computer can see on the network. The difference between the ones I am connected to and the ones I'm not connected to is that the ones I am connected to have a triangle next to them. (I think the triangle is supposed to suggest "eject"). If I click on the triangle, I get disconnected. But the computer name will remain under the "SHARED" list. |
