From: Osteele on 3 Jun 2010 16:22 Hello. I have a client who is using SBS 2008 Standard. On several occasions in the last week or so he has called to complain that he is receiving some email messages one day after they had originally been sent. Other mail is not coming in at all. There was a recent issue where he had his client on the phone while said client attempted to re-send the mystery mail message. He is receiving mail for the most part. However, there are times when mail does not arrive, or it arrives a day after it had been sent. Thank you Mail Client = Microsoft Outlook -- Osteele ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Osteele's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/184732.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/small-business-server/1343375.htm http://forums.techarena.in
From: Cliff Galiher - MVP on 4 Jun 2010 00:34 How is SBS configured to receive email? Are you using SMTP delivery? Pop3? Some form of SMTP Relay (MX Relay as they are sometimes called)? Have you used the message tracking center to see if/when SBS received the email? ARe there other filters between SBS and the internet (SMTP aware firewall?) If so, does it log scans? -- Cliff Galiher Microsoft has opened the Small Business Server forum on Technet!
