Why are my recovered documents locked? Click on 'doc' will not toally open in word. When I click on a *.doc document Word (Word 2000), opens with the document screen a medium dark gray. The toolbars are present. It will not close when clicking on the 'X' in the upper right hand corner and you have to go into Task Manager. It takes a few keystrokes until it finally closes.
