From: Frederick Williams on 23 Mar 2010 08:48 I wish to download andLinux from http://sourceforge.net/projects/andlinux/files/andlinux/Beta%202/andlinux-beta2-kde.exe/download. It is about 563MB in size and I only have an unreliable dial-up connection*. I wonder whether there is some way of downloading it so that if the download is interrupted I can re-start it from the point that it got to rather than having to start over again from the beginning. Or is it possible to download it in smaller pieces that can then be concatenated? * Whether it is less reliable than other dial-up connections I don't know, but I have been unable to download more than about 12% before the connection breaks. -- I can't go on, I'll go on.

It's a command line util but there is a GUI version available. Or, you could use BitTorrent, although it doesn't work too well with dial up.

Also many linux distros are available on CD-Rs or DVD-Rs from Cheapbytes.com -- this might be a viable option. -- Robert Heller -- 978-544-6933 Deepwoods Software -- Download the Model Railroad System http://www.deepsoft.com/ -- Binaries for Linux and MS-Windows heller(a)deepsoft.com -- http://www.deepsoft.com/ModelRailroadSystem/

Wget is available for Windows. wget -c should work for you. Check out the manpage. Sid
