On an older sony vaio laptop. It was either the video or network driver that I got via Windows Update. This was /years/ ago. I am more cautious about applying drivers now though. -- -Craig

Interesting. I've never had a problem and I've installed some really hacked drivers. When PCs started shipping with Vi$ta there was collusion to force users to take V and like it. I had to go out and find drivers the best that I could for XP. I still have problems today finding them, as 7 is out now. We have an Enterprise license for XP Pro and it has lots of life left in it for business machines. I'm rather stunned that I've never ran into this as a matter of fact. I took driver packs that individuals hacked out and installed them when they worked, or searched further for another hacked pack.
