But the one I linked to has the advantage of being under 18 pounds excluding P&P, which makes it ineligible for VAT and duty. The others, where postage is included, are liable. I haven't a clue if the seller is any good, of course. Theo

Essentially I wanted a cheap "disposable" phone for my ultra running through remote areas where I've had network coverage issues. I have a vodafone contract sim and an Orange OVP sim kicking around so the two of them should increase the chances of me having coverage. The torch could come in handy too. ;-) Tim

You might also consider either a foreign or preferably a global roaming SIM, which would roam on to any network available. The latter have outgoing rates from around 20p a minute. I wouldn't forward Vodafone to it though.

It's something I've thought about but I like the idea of using a sim I have kicking around anyway. I'll maybe get some of my ultra running friends to try it. ;-) Not sure what you mean by "wouldn't forward Vodafone to it" though? Is there a problem with Vodafone and these sims? Tim
