"Penelope/Eudora 8" is an add-on/replacement (I'm not sure which) based on Thunderbird and Eudora. See <http://wiki.mozilla.org/Penelope_Extensions> for Penelope version notes. Letters.app is a brand new project which may turn into something worthwhile. <http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/2010/01/rage-against-the-mail-machine -the-genesis-of-letters.ars> (That link is probably broken by MacSOUP; you may have to cut and paste to get the last part of it.) <http://lowendmac.com/misc/10mr/another-email-client.html> MailForge is another one that I haven't tried. <http://www.infinitydatasystems.com/blog/index.html> -- Kathy - still happily using Eudora 6.4.2 and cmd-opt-b to open HTML messages in a browser window.
