Is the problem maybe down to some kind of copy protection on the tapes themselves? I backed up a few VHS movies OK this way but do remember one that was jerky and impossible to play/copy through the Hybrid. Don't remember exact details but I put it down to that at the time. FWIW I've also copied VHS tape through the Hybrid with a G4 tower (upgraded 1 x 2GHz CPU) with reasonable results (tho' it's not really supported by Elgato). -- Simon

I seem to remember that Elgato recommend not using a switchable SCART (in/out) but this is the kind I've been using. -- Simon
