What? Don't you pay attention? Youtube pays for permission to let people put copyright stuff up. It's not free - it's paid for out of site revenues. Of course, the money that YouTube pays never gets to the actual artists, it all just swells the coffers of UMG and Warner and Sony and the rest of the robber barons who've managed to acquire all the copyrights worth having... I don't get that - swf and flv are both file types that the whole Mac seems to know about. What's going on? Any idea?
