In the aggregate, these seemingly disjointed turns of phrase -- "a dump on
Stephen Hawking" and "hawking radiation" -- waft the whiff of the "mute"
or at best chalk. Which is, I suppose, what we're doing here: fighting our
way out of the entropic gyre by scribbling or perhaps simply daubing the
walls. Surely some revelation is at hand.

Entropy can be beat as long as there are energy sources around and
intelligence.

That's only a delaying tactic, like paying this month's mortgage
installment by taking out a home equity loan.
