It's obviously some MS nonsense. There's a mixture of ascii quote marks
and the curly ones and it's a pretty ugly way of rendering a fairly
simple text presentation that could _look_ at least interesting.

"Tag-soup" is a good one.

C'mon John, type out your text as plain text, then mark it up. Word has
a pretty good "plain text" style you can work with, you know.

Yet in the end result are things that could only have been put into the
source by MS-Word. I suspect that your copy did include the source, but
not in a way that was immediately visible to you.

Thank you. I wasn't even thinking in terms of the the F word. John's
response was as if I had blasphemed, not merely used run of the mill
profanity.

At least I've shown since then that I take my blasphemy seriously when I
want to.
