Good news: ABBYY launches new FineReader CLI for Linux that provides
end-users and developers with high quality optical character
recognition (OCR).

FineReader CLI is the full-featured OCR application developed for
Linux in command line interface by a leading technology provider. It
delivers to Linux users ABBYY’s award-wining technologies, which were
previously available only on Windows and Mac OS.

The program supports more than 190 recognition languages and a wide
variety of input and output formats. As a multi-purpose application,
it can be used as both private desktop OCR for document conversion and
integrated part of a large business system.
