Perl Seminar New York's regular monthly meeting takes place this
coming Tuesday:

Main Presentation: Kristina Chodorow: "MongoDB".

Kristina will provide an overview of how and why to use a NoSQL
database, in particular MongoDB. She'll cover:
* Scaling with sharding, replication, and more
* How to create a schema for a non-relational DB
* Cool features (capped collections, file storage)
* Basic Perl driver syntax

Kristina Chodorow is a software engineer at 10gen, where she
maintains the MongoDB Perl (http://search.cpan.org/dist/MongoDB/) and
PHP drivers. She has talked at conferences and meetups around the
world.
