Next: I am thinking about a dual boot with two linux distros one 32bit and the other 64 bit
From: trigonometry1972 on 4 Apr 2010 05:31 I think I wait for the LT version of Unbuntu that is upcoming. If the download for Fedora.ISO, it maybe the other one. It seems there are 32 bit programs I still want that I haven't found in the 64 bit universe. Also wonder if I could make a "fixed version" of a distro such as Unbuntu 9.04 or Federo 11 for Hulu desktop such that I can run it off of a flash memory stick? In that I've had flash operated HULU and other site go up and down due to software issues this seems a logical plan. Though it maybe bit above my pay grade. And the idea is to put Hulu Desktop and Adobe flash on the stick as well.. As a side comment, it seem that I could also pay Mandriva for support and help with flash such that Hulu MIGHT work. This doesn't seem like something one should need to pay for though so I'll go the long way round if I must. Mandriva is OK and can see my standalone HD whereas my Ubuntu lost this ability during an upgrade. More recently a kernel upgrade causes Opera 10 something to fail with Adobe flash on the HULU site. And Opera is currently a pretty sad piece of software in that the button for going forward causes a return to a previous page at least at times. So if you like Opera, I'd try a back version which MIGHT work? Chromium seems to need a key? At least in Mandriva? What the what!!! Trig |
