News to me. If a "good old classic" is still in demand then it is most likely available in a modern implementation. If Stratego is your thing then you can play it online for free on any new Mac - no need to install anything. I know some people are into retrogaming [1] and I have no problem with that - they don't have to "move on" if they don't want to. Do you know something I don't about it having a way to import financial and investment data from MYM? I did once find an app that purported to convert MYM data to Quicken format. But it didn't handle securities, only financial transactions. And it hasn't been updated, so it's not compatible with current versions of Quicken. -- Barry Margolin, barmar(a)alum.mit.edu Arlington, MA *** PLEASE post questions in newsgroups, not directly to me *** *** PLEASE don't copy me on replies, I'll read them in the group ***

OS 9 is an obsolete OS that was discontinued more than a decade ago. Yes, there might be some demand/market for OS 9 compatibility on Macs today, but to try to comparte it with demand/market for Windows compatibility is just silly. If there was significant demand for an easy-to-use OS 9 emulator for Intel Macs, you can bet your boots that somebody would have developed a commercial solution for it and would be making money off it today. That fact that that isn't happening should tell you about the actual demand/market for such a thing, especially when you consider that old Mac hardware can run OS 9 natively can be had for pennies. -- K. Anyway the author was able to get it to run without the CD. Just wondering if the tool to run some other classic stuff is about. Seems this too is gone now. http://www.rivertext.com/ But I can run it on Intel g5 machine without the CD that I down loaded 4 months ago.
