Next: Faulting Application IEXPLORE.EXE
From: Bamff on 14 Dec 2007 15:12 Full error is: AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: urlmon.dll ModVer: 6.0.2900.3231 Offset: 0003b5ce This happens when I try to open different websites, most commonly, gmail. As soon as the page starts to open, I get this pop-up and I have to close IE. I did notce that if I go to another page first (Pets.com seems to work) and then go to gmail IE seems to work. But, if I close IE6 and type in gmail.com, IE crashes. Any ideas?
From: Bamff on 14 Dec 2007 15:55 OK - I found some other posts and this seems to have worked for me also. Uninstall Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP (KB942615) I haven't seen the error again... Keep your fingers crossed. From: Learner on 14 Dec 2007 19:57 Please note that I noticed that solution http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942367 did work a couple of times but then IE 6 crashes again. Sometimes I can access gmail.google.com three times in a row but then I have the exact same error AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: urlmon.dll ModVer: 6.0.2900.3231 Offset: 0003b5ce So, kb942367 is NOT the solution Daniel _____________ "Bamff" <Bamff(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:86056740-3914-4914-A529-0560B8D61892(a)microsoft.com... > OK - I found some other posts and this seems to have worked for me also. > > Uninstall > Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP (KB942615) > > I haven't seen the error again...
