In <http://www.apple.com/pro/tips/migration.html>

it says "Well, in Tiger, that's all a thing of the past. Now,
when it's time to make the “big move,” just connect the two Macs
with a FireWire cable..."

My Macbook has no FW (I know this worried me when I was buying
it!)

Can you recommend a URL where a proper step by step sure fire
algorithm to do this is documented somewhere on the web? I see
posts with problems and uncertainties.

btw, Jim, whenever I go to reply to your posts - before sending a

the option of saying OK to get rid of the message. And after I
hit the submit, if I say no, I don't want to send an email, I get
lots of further notices requesting access to my keychain etc.

OK, but I have no idea why that is. I am using Thoth. I couldn't find
