radar (microwave) is identical to visible light.

Radar is two-way transmission for another.

Not necessarily. Radar is no different than radio. Radio transmission
from your FM station to your tuner is not two-way.

Because our eyes are not sensitive to those wavelengths. I'll
bet your son, Nathan, going to Iowa State, knows the electromagnetic
spectrum from radio through gamma.
