Nah. That implies that there are anti-gremlins to put things
back the way they were and we know only humans do that work.

I have discovered the current list of downloads that AOL thinks I need
changes settings. Could that have happened, been discovered, and
the setting changed back?

hUH? The architecture is what creates the assembler.
The difference between the machine language and the assembler
is somebody wrote code that equated mneumonics for certain
bit patterns in the machine language.

No, a compiler's machine language output is not the usual way
people code using the assembler.

There are reasons that compiler-produced code is [emoticon gropes
for a word] stilted.
