Sorry, my experience is limited to my collection of Ultra 10
workstations, and years ago, some X86 PC's!

ISTR that the extra "-" overrides any defaults that the boot command
might be configured with.

A rebuild is also a great time to think about disk partitioning! It's
usually only after you have screwed it up a couple of times that you
understand what the ideal partitioning SHOULD have been.

I recommend a minimum for 4GB for / plus /usr and another 4GB for /var.

Remember that disk space is usually cheaper than your time! The time
required to backup your disk, repartition, and restore would almost
certainly buy an 80GB EIDE disk drive. ($70 US the last time I looked!)
SCSI is a good deal more expensive.

David, I sense that your jumpstart experience is limited.

If you have other Sol 10 sparc servers that were jumpstarted in the
past, their profile(s) may suffice.

Don't forget to add an updated install client for the 1280 on your
jumpstart server.

Dennis, how big is your environment? How many SAs are there?

Thanks everyone for your great suggestions. I now feel better prepared
in approaching this task. Yes, there are people involved who are much
more experienced. The problem is that they are on a different team and
they don't have time to do much hand-holding. My feeling is that the
better insight I have, the better questions I can ask them. And you
have provide me a good start.
