It's actually a convention formed way back, when a lot of systems could
only speak in uppercase.

When a Jewish grandfather of a family I used to know came into a
room where a pig was on television, he would make like to spit on
the carpet. Long time ago. TV was new and I don't think they make
Jewish grandfathers like they used to these days.

(btw, is it my newsreader and service that is slow or are you not
reading the thread so far?)
