Slackware Fans,

On Slackware, LVM filesystems listed via commands such as df, mount, etc.,
show up as:

/dev/vg/lv

On other distros I've tried, they show up as:

/dev/mapper/vg-lv

I prefer the Slackware way. If I'm using another distro for whatever
reason, how would I configure it show LVM filesystems the same as Slackware
does?

What's the definition of a legacy system? One that works!

Mine shows up as

This is on slackware-current just before 64bit v13.0 was released. But
presumably, whatever shows up in /etc/fstab will show up in all the
other utilities, so you could try replacing mapper... et al with your
preferred device entry in fstab.

I've tried that many times before. I gave it another try to no avail. Does
anyone have any other suggestions?
