Thanks for the thought, but I don't think it's necessary. I think the
simplest way to interpret the post is a reaction at dismay/shock that it
could be a heat problem in a new MacBook, which I'd share if I didn't
have experience with them. Trying to read it as some sort of slight
against me is stretching.

I'm far more interested in knowing what temperature he's seeing. I think
this'll be the fix for him; smcFanController dropped out of my login
items a few weeks back and I saw mouse skips almost instantly.

Perhaps, but I based my response on what I've seen from him going back
to 1998 or so. That and the fact that he didn't say anything about
trying it and getting back to you.

Well, ditto. I've been posting here since some point in the 90s and
remember the Diaper Boy days. And you've definitely got a good point.
But he's been (relatively) well behaved this time, and I'd rather not
risk a regression. :)
