On that page the matte screen is on the older style MBP - I wonder how it's done on the current glass-fronted screens. Stuart -- cut that out to reply

I feel quite sorry for all these professional photographers and image editors and the like -- they seem to have a dreadfully unsatisfying (and no doubt expensive) time of it. b. -- <bas(a)bas.me.uk> <URL:http://bas.me.uk/> `Zombies are defined by behavior and can be "explained" by many handy shortcuts: the supernatural, radiation, a virus, space visitors, secret weapons, a Harvard education and so on.' -- Roger Ebert

I find the anti-glare coating doesn't stop screen reflections being intrusive and annoying almost all the time. I wish Apple offered matte screens across the range. The current models are also like this. If you choose the anti-glare option, then you get an aluminium bezel around the screen instead of the all-glass design. I've looked back and the link above shows a unibody MBP with a bezel. Strange that I saw the bezel and imagined the machine back into an older silver-keyed MBP. The bezel model looks really dated compared with the glass-fronted variety. > The current models are also like this. I reckon I'll have to try and find a 15" anti-glare model on display somewhere in Bristol or the Apple Store in Exeter. Stuart -- cut that out to reply |
