From: Tom Serface on 3 Mar 2010 21:24 I don't see ellipses either. I know you can set this in certain controls, but I never do it . If I did I would show the last part rather than the beginning. From: Tom Serface on 3 Mar 2010 21:25 Yes, for offline I still don't see it being better. There's nothing like a newsgroup reader for doing offline imo. I have heard a few people have been able to get a bridge to work with the newgroup reader, but I've never been able to get it to work reliably. Tom "Joseph M. From: Joseph M. Newcomer on 4 Mar 2010 00:34 That's why it's addictive. Once a program runs, I get bored with it. So I have to create something new that does something completely different. And get bored with that. And move on. So far, I've managed to do it for 46+ years (46 in September of 2009) and the rush is still there. Although once, when I was working 90 hour weeks for four solid months to save a company I was working for from total disaster, I think I did OD on work. Another reason I'm a consultant is I no longer have to deal with that kind of pressure. joe On Wed, 3 Mar 2010 08:11:53 -0800 (PST), Ajay Kalra <ajaykalra(a)yahoo.com> wrote: >> Now, in the 20 years since I had that conversation with her, I've mellowed out. I do lots >> more of things unrelated to software development. > >I would have never guessed. > >> But for sheer rush, there's *nothing* to compare to seeing a software project run correctly! > >Very true.
