I have never noticed this until last night.

I attached a jpg to an email (simply drag and drop) which was about 400k.

However when sent it was reduced to about 60k - not what was needed.

I seem now to be totally unable to email a full-size jpg.

I have fumbled around and cannot find a pref anywhere which deals with
thhis.

Any pointers?

There's a little popup menu at the bottom right of the mail draft
window which lets you choose how to resize the thing.

I think whats happening is you choose the size but when it's sent it is
actually compressed again further
